2 Braided Hairstyles For Spring!

Hey everyone!

March 21 marked the first day of Spring! I wanted to show you all two simple, cute, and versatile hairstyles that would go great with your new Spring clothes! 🙂

Side note: I’m washing my hair today, so I will also be doing some braided styles for curly hair soon!

Style 1

I started by parting a section of hair in the very front of my head (the picture has disappeared), and then splitting that section into two.

After braiding both sides, I used a rubber band to secure the ends so it doesn’t come out.

Here are a couple of other ways to style with these two braids.

Style 2

This is the basic two braids, except instead of braiding until the end, I secured the braid at the base of my head with an elastic, to create ponytails.

Usually when I do this style (on curly or straight hair) I do buns at the end instead of leaving my hair down.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Look out for more hairstyle pictorials in the future!

Updated Skin Care Routine 2017

Recently, I’ve been breaking out. (You’ll probably look at these pictures and wonder where, but trust me, today was a good day.) I really want clear skin, so I’m changing up my skin care routine. I’ll post a before and after in two weeks to show you all my before and after pictures. For now, I’m going to share with you all my weekly routine.

Every Morning:

Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily clarifying Cleanser. It smells great!

IMG_1587                 IMG_1590

Afterward, I’m going to finish with Clean and Clear essentials Deep Cleaning Astringent to tone my face.

IMG_1602                 IMG_1603

I’ll finish the morning routine with Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream.

IMG_1601                IMG_1604

Monday and Wednesday Night:

Before bed on Monday and Wednesday nights I will use Burt’s Bees Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub.

IMG_1588        IMG_1593        IMG_1597

The amount in my hand is enough for more than half of my face. It doesn’t smell as good as the Yes to Tomatoes daily cleanser but it definitely makes my face feel goooooood.

I follow up with moisturizer, skipping the toner because it’s not necessary for my combination skin.

Friday night:

This is my favorite night because I get to use my Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask.

It feels great and leaves my face feeling super smooth. I follow up with toner and moisturizer to complete the job.

Hopefully this routine solves all of my acne problems. I’ll let you know soon!

Basic Halloween Look: Fierce Lion

The cat or lion is every girl’s last-minute go-to halloween costume. This quick look is a little more than black eyeliner and a black nose. Follow this pictorial, and you’ll look like you’ve put in twice the effort with the same amount of time.

You’ve probably seen this look a thousand times since the beginning of October, and you’re probably wondering why you clicked on this specific pictorial.

First, I primed my face with Trust Fund Beauty Gimme Good Face Face Primer. It’s vegan and gluten-free and works wonderfully. For foundation I used Fashion Fair Finish Foundation Stick in the color Brown Sugar. The color is a little dark, but that’s okay for this tutorial.

Next I filled in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Granite. Then, I used Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer to outline my brows and make them look cleaner.

For my eyes, I primed my lids with Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer. I used tréStique Shadow Crayon in Venetian Gold on my lid, and Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in the color 38 Chocolate Bliss in my crease.

Next, I did the most important part: contour. I used Boo-Boo Cover-Up Concealer for the lighter sections, and Covergirl Queen Collection in the color Cocoa for the darker parts. The darker parts are on my hairline, and any other place I didn’t put the lighter parts.

Next, I worked on deepening the nose contour. I used Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in the color 38 Chocolate Bliss to outline the initial shape. Then I went in with a black shadow and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the center of my nose to darken it. I dragged some of the black shadow past the bottom of my nose to create more of a shadow.

Next, I did the most basic part of the look, the winged liner. I used Eyeko London Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black to make the wing. I used Colourpop Cosmetics Créme Gel Liner in Swerve on my waterline.

For the whisker dots, I used the same two liners and randomly placed dots on my upper lip.

Now, for my favorite part: highlight! I used the gold color in the City Color Highlight Trio palate. I highlighted the top of my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, the top of my forehead, underneath my brow bone, and my chin.

I used it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara in Super Black on my top and bottom lashes. Lastly, I used Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in TooLips and Ruby Kisses lipstick in Black Diamond. To create the curved sides, I used Illamsqua Liquid Liner in Abyss.

And that’s the final look! I used my fro and hair color to my advantage with this look and let it go wild Lol. Of course this look would look cute with any hair style/color. I hope you enjoyed this pictorial. (:
